Itinerary
Day 1 - Whitehorse
Arrive into Whitehorse, the ‘Wilderness City’ and transfer to your hotel. (D)
Day 2 - Whitehorse
Discover the history of the north on a city sightseeing tour. Whitehorse has a lot to offer and is home to famous sights like the historic Paddlewheeler SS Klondike or a “Skyscraper” completely made out of logs. Later take a tour to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve where you can see inhabitant game like Elk, Moose, Caribou, Mountain Goats and Lynx in their natural surroundings up-close.
Not far from here is the Takhini Hot Springs, where you can indulge yourself in the natural hot waters and relax in a breathtaking winter mountain setting. Later in the evening we set out to the Aurora Centre where we’ll seek the sight of the Northern Lights. (B)
Day 3 - Whitehorse
Learn the old tradition of mushing (dog sledding) before experiencing a dog sled ride along the frozen bends of the Yukon River. Relax in the evening before going to the Aurora Centre to try and catch a second glimpse of the Northern Lights. (B)
Day 4 - Whitehorse
Drive into the mountains surrounding Whitehorse where you will enjoy a memorable snowmobiling trip through the beautiful winter scenery. Soak up views of snow covered mountains as you ride along forest trails across lakes thick with ice. (B)
Day 5 - Whitehorse
Transfer to the airport where your Yukon adventure ends. (B)
